Animal Jam Blogging: Explaining Adsense

I'm back! Sorry, no photos please. Thank you.

I won't bother to review this last excuse-for-an-update, as I'm sure you have already seen it. However, there is indeed a new addition to the epic scarf collection (otherwise known as Wind Armor), the Wind Amulet.

Why is it a Wind Amulet, you ask? Well, naturally because it was found on the beach on a windy day! Don't ask such silly questions.

---

And for the main part of this post, I will explain Adsense for Blogger, as some people have asked. I'm sure you have noticed a few ads around the blog (If you haven't, your either extremely absent-minded, or you're smart and use AdBlock). I do use Adsense, a Google ad system that was made to work with blogger.

How it works? I put ads on my blog for free. I choice what type of ads to show, so that they relate to my audience. You see the ads, and click the ones you like in order to see what they are about. I get paid a small amount of money every time someone clicks an ad.

So, I provide a free Animal Jam website, and at the same time I can get paid some money for doing it. (I'm not just "doing this for money"). All the money I make will go back into the blog, for example I might buy better graphic or video software. As Jammer Central gets more viewers, I will earn more money, and the blog will continue to improve.

Make sense? I hope that clears up the confusion.

Next Saturday I hope to make a huge update on the More Blogs page.

PS: Make up your minds already. The old version and new version are tied in the poll to the right --->

Pennsylvania

Yes, I am traveling again! Not Maine this time, but Pennsylvania. I should be back on the 31st. That would be Saturday.

Grading Papers and Health Hazards in Jamaa

First of all, who likes the new theme? You can answer that in the poll to the right. (If some of the words do not show up, tell me.)

And in Jam Mart Furniture, we have an incredible, amazing item - nay, not an item, but a masterpiece!

Look at the grand woodwork! And the best part? You get to grade the papers. Yes, that's right, you can even give an F. Unfortunately the desk comes as an A+... (Come on AJHQ, at least a C-).

Moving on, here is one of the most important questions you will be asked all day. Why oh why do the doors to Bahari Bargains look like this on the outside:

And this on the inside:

You know, that's what I'm concerned about here. I mean, it's gotta be a health hazard. Just look at these walls!

Come on AJHQ! This thing could collapse at any given moment. You shouldn't have a hazard like this open to the public. Even the Diamond Shop seems to have gone through a natural disaster or two. Just look at these pillars.

Hey wait - wasn't it just constructed? Oh no. It's true! AJHQ is trying to make dangerous buildings! They want buildings to crush little kids! What happened to Animal Jam being a "Safe Environment"?

...

:O

Rare Nerdy Glasses

Okay, so I was three days off when I said I would be back. I'm sorry, I know you all must be in tears by now. And I'd like to bring the Snowyclaw drama here to a close. When I said her posts were "utterly boring" that was an exaggeration. I don't hate Snowyclaw, and I don't hate her blog.

Oh wow... look at that. I go for vacation, come back, and my poll has 162 votes... Apparently, my viewers think AJHQ is a prejudice, money-loving, nonmember-hating bunch of Salt Lake City people. (I had fun writing that.)

And on the second page of Jam Mart Furniture we have an "epic" "cool" Rare Item Monday.

Oh wait... sorry about that. If anyone wants to be a rare nerd, these are for you. (Who knows, that pencil might even double as a built in laser...)

For those stalkers wondering where I was for that oh-so-long trip, we went up to Acadia National Park in Maine. And I made the worst mistake a photographer can make - I forgot my camera. However, maybe I can edit my other photos and post them on here after I am done with my post? Like what Goofy8966 did?

Nonmember Diamond Shop

First of all, on the last post I was just giving my opinion about Snowyclaw's posting. Every person is allowed to have their own opinion. For me, I think her style is too plain, like AJHQ. I was not saying that everybody who views this blog has to hereby hate Snowyclaw. (I don't hate Snowyclaw - I was just saying I didn't like her style.) She has been posting for a long time, and posts early every morning. So I understand why people like her blog. But that does not mean I have to say she is an amazing blogger, just because she has more blog views than me. I think I have learned something: never say anything negative about a famous person, even if it's true. People will hate you for it.

And to Snowyclaw who apparently saw the last post - I joke about people a lot. I am not trying to be mean to anyone.

And, of course the new item. Today we have the big, fluffy, (and ever so slightly fat) Giant Kangaroo Plushie!

Yes, 'tis Nonmember! I don't think we have had any nonmember Diamond Shop items yet...

And, now for the sad news. I am leaving today! No, no, you can stop crying. I'm not leaving the world, and I won't be sent to the guillotine (as long as Snowyclaw fans don't find me). I am going to be traveling again, and should be back next Friday.

Rare Cool Hair

Today we have some very cool hair on the third page of Jam Mart Clothing.

So, why is this cool? Is it because it is green? Or is it because it looks like you don't know how to comb your hair? And why does AJHQ think either of those make something cool? I really am not to desperate to meet the AJ item designers.

I really don't have anything else to post. Remember to answer the new poll on the sidebar.

Copyright Symbols on Animal Jam Blogs

Sorry for the utterly boring post yesterday. Today I will do my best to amuse you all.

We do indeed have a new Spiked Wristband in Epic Wonders. Same colors as the Collar, as far as I know.

And, as the main topic of this post, I will bring up copyrights on Animal Jam Blogs. First of all, many people believe that if you have a little © on your blog, it means big trouble for anyone who copies you. That is not true. Here, I will review each copyright symbol, when you can use them, and what they mean.

© - Copyright
Everybody automatically has a copyright over things they have created - writing, drawings, and photos. This symbol does not need to be put on your blog in order to have a copyright. However anyone can use this symbol as a reminder to your viewers. If someone steals your work, even if you have the symbol on your blog, you really can't do anything about it. Unless your blog is a big money making business, your are likely not to sue anyone for a little thing like that. (Kids can't sue anyway...)

™ - Trademark
Anyone can use this, too. It is generally a copyright for a phrase or name. Like the copyright above, you cannot do anything really if someone copies the phrase/name you have a trademark symbol on. The symbol is just a reminder - unless you have registered it. Read more below.

® - Registered
This is the symbol you cannot use unless you have registered it. Meaning you paid money to some government agency to protect your work. Using this symbol without paying money is illegal. If you register a copyright, you have a certain amount of registered trademarks you can use, like I mentioned above.

In the end, then, you can use the copyright and trademark symbols for free, but they don't really mean anything. The only way you could really get someone in trouble for stealing work is if you have registered a trademark by paying money.

Any thoughts/opinions? Comment, comment, comment!

Tool Bench

Just as predicted yesterday, the Stone Carved Tool Bench is now available in Kimbara Imports.

I wonder why everything is so expensive there. I do like the items a lot though.

Word is, when you create a new account you will have the name "New Jammer" until AJHQ decides if you name is fine. To me, it seems a bit excessive, seeing as there already is so much moderation. And for some reason AJHQ is still called "New Jammer".

That's about all for now. Also, some of you may remember I never did a contest for 50,000 views (yes, that was a while ago). I do plan on making it soon. Probably within the next two weeks.

Outback Imports, Spikes and Glitches

Today, as expected we have a new shop in the Kimbara Outback!

Very much like Jam Mart Furniture, and other rooms created in the beta period. I like it. :) Strange music, though. There are only three items in the shop so far, but they really do look like beta items! Good job, AJHQ.

Some items coming soon to the shop?

Also big news, Spike Collars are being sold in the Diamond Shop in new colors! It's a good compromise, everybody can have a spike, and at the same time the old ones remain rare.

And for some strange reason AJHQ Jam-a-Grams say they are from "New Jammer".

You can also no longer search for a "blacked out" Jammer. And this is what you see while a profile is loading:

It's so precious... the flower is happy!

Okay now that was creepy. I'll leave you with that. You can go home now, kids.

Arches, Giraffes, Taj Mahal, Pharaoh, and Big Ben

Shame on you all for two comments on the last post. Unless... um... you did comment... well in that case, good job.

The Summer Carnival spider... even the smallest bite from Arachnus Deathacus will instantly paralyze...

Yay! AJHQ made a mistake! It has the same name as this guy:

Really, how is it even a spider? It has four legs and two eyes, and then some weird round things on his head. Oh wait. I guess those are eyes too. Seriously people. You have better things to do than go to the Summer Carnival.

And just to bore you to death I have some geography notes for you all. In the Art Studio, Peck drew this image (images, actually):

And take a look at this Snake Habitat:

These are definitely supposed to be natural arches, and probably based on Delicate Arch, in Utah. AJHQ is also located in Utah, so it makes sense.

Yup, that one. It is the most famous arch in the world.

And, don't go! More boring findings. In the Art Studio and Chambers of Knowledge we have these:

Both were made a long time before giraffes came out.

But wait, there's more! In the flag shop, we have a model of the Taj Mahal in India.

And a mummy coffin from Egypt.

And Big Ben in England.

And I think I should end this post before I lose all my viewers. Tomarow is update day, right? I hope they add rooms to Kimara Outback.

Giant Purple Spiders and Balancing on Feathers

Warning: this will be a rushed post!

In the Carnival of the Summer we have the massively hideous Spider Plushie!

This might work to scare people you don't want out of your den! Any other uses?

And AJHQ is gladly reminding me their going to kick me out of the club in 3 days if I don't hand them another 50 bucks.

And a strange animation glitch happens with Pandas with Masks when the do the Play Action.

It warps and stretches underneath the Panda, making it look like you are balancing on feathers, or floating in space (whats really happening...) Big thanks for the mask to BubblegumBee!

And... here it comes...  Wait for it...

Oh come on... We just need you to tell them my username...

Pleeease...

There. :D

Oh yes, "Anonymous" has reminded me of a new blog to add to the list, The Animal Jam Crazy.

Backpacks, Pixels and Polls

I know you all must be so excited about today's new item on the second page of Jam Mart Furniture...

So, one might ask, "What makes it so rare?" Well, naturally, it's the fact that it's so ugly that no one will buy it.

Moving on, my blogging buddies might enjoy a few new graphics. Now, if you are asking what graphic is, I would normally ignore you. However, I must be kind to my viewers, yes? A graphic is an image, made up of colors, and pixels

And so you all can cry for me, we have these awful images.

Isn't it so sad??? :'( That means my Membership expires in 432,000 seconds!

My poll has also ended, with 72 total votes in 7 days.

For me, I like them both, in different ways. I think the new one works as a map for the game, where they other looks like an ancient treasure map, that could go in an adventure.  Any other ideas?

PS: ekjma2000 noticed two more blogs that fit on my Blogging Statistics list, Animal Jam Expert and Animal Jam Frozen.
